Is Travis Hunter Playing Today in Jaguars vs. Saints Preseason Game?

Travis Hunter is arguably the most talked-about rookie entering the 2025 NFL season. The Jacksonville Jaguars' first-round pick has the NFL world buzzing about his two-way potential.

Hunter suited up for the Jaguars' preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. The 22-year-old played both offensive and defensive snaps in his first outing. Although the Jaguars' head coach, Liam Coen, said the rookie will play more on defense, the No. 2 overall pick played more offensive snaps than defensive.

The Jaguars are set to face the New Orleans Saints on Saturday. Both sides are coming off losses in their first preseason game. The Jaguars lost 31-25 to the Steelers, and the Saints succumbed 27-13 to the Chargers. Coen announced the team's plans for Saturday's outing.

The Jaguars' HC has confirmed that most of the starters will play in the fixture against the Saints. However, Hunter's participation is still not clear. The rookie missed Friday's practice session due to an upper-body injury.

The decision to sit Hunter out of the practice session was likely precautionary, and it's possible that he'll play on Saturday. But the coaching staff might not want to risk him just a few weeks away from the regular season.

When and Where to Watch Jaguars vs. Saints Preseason Game?

The Jaguars visit the Saints on Sunday at 1 PM ET at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA. Jacksonville fans can tune in to FOX30, where Brian Sexton will call every play. Bucky Brooks is the color analyst, and Brent Martineau will be the sideline reporter for the fixture.

Saints fans can watch on FOX 8 or Gray TV (WVUE FOX 8 locally), with Joel Meyers on play-by-play, Jon Stinchcomb as the color analyst, and Erin Summers as the sideline reporter. Viewers can also stream the matchup using NFL+, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV Stream, and Fubo TV.
