The Kansas City Chiefs will host their first and only 2025 preseason game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium when they take on the Chicago Bears on Friday night.

For preseason Game 3 standards, it should be a good one. Coach Andy Reid already stated that the Chiefs' starters will get some run, and Bears coach Ben Johnson will be playing his starters as well. When the backups begin to trickle in, there will be several roster spots to be earned.

Among those set to play is rookie defensive end Ashton Gillotte, who will be taking the field at Arrowhead for the first time in his career. While speaking to the media on Tuesday, Gillotte expressed his enthusiasm for making his home debut.

"I've heard a lot of good things," Gillotte said. "I'm looking forward to interacting and experiencing that crowd volume, especially on defense, because when you're playing at away stadiums, they're not loud for you. I'm excited to see how that plays out communication-wise, and just being on the field, and how that noise affects it."

The Chiefs selected Gillotte in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. At 6-foot-3 and 275 pounds, he is a powerful lineman who has the versatility to play outside or inside. Gillotte will look to become a key part of the Chiefs’ pass rush rotation this season, and could have more opportunities with DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah landing on season-ending injured reserve.

Fans who attend Chiefs game feed off the defense, and have made Arrowhead the loudest sporting venue in the world. Opposing offenses have to account for the crowd noise when putting together their gameplans, and K.C.'s defense thrives off the rowdy audience. Gillotte will get a taste of it on Friday, and will get the full experience when the Chiefs host the Philadelphia Eagles in their regular season home opener in Week 2.
