Jabril Peppers has been found not guilty of all assault charges against him stemming from allegations on October 5th.

A jury of five women and one man deliberated for about an hour before coming to a unanimous decision and acquitting him.

Per reporters, Peppers' mother cried after the verdict was delivered. The victim was quoted leaving the courthouse saying, "I told my side of the story. I know the truth."

The victim had accused the Patriot's safety of choking her, slamming her head against a wall, and eventually throwing her down a flight of stairs. Peppers testified on his behalf, saying things turned that night when the woman tried to have unprotected sex with him. He claims he asked her to leave and she refused. She said he hit her; Peppers refuted that and told police, “She was trying to do all this to mess up my career.”

The incident got the Pats' defender  - a captain at the time - placed on the Commissioner's exempt list, costing him eight games. Between that and injury, Peppers played just six games for the team after signing a lucrative contract extension.

In other news, Peppers did plead guilty to cocaine possession from that night. The court ordered him to remain out of trouble and drug-free for the next four months.
