Jacksonville Jaguars star quarterback Trevor Lawrence was limited to just 10 games last season due to a shoulder injury that required surgery. He finished the campaign with 172-of-284 completed passes (60.6%) for 2,045 yards and 11 touchdowns. The former Clemson Tigers standout also added three rushing touchdowns to his tally before his fourth NFL season came to an abrupt end.

Lawrence and the Jaguars are in action on Monday night, hosting Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in a “Monday Night Football” showdown at EverBank Stadium. After going down 14-0 in the first half, the Jaguars were able to tie the game at the 8:40 mark of the third quarter. This came in the form of a 10-yard TD run from Lawrence, who scored his first rushing touchdown of the season.

It turned out to be a historic TD for Lawrence, too, which prompted an announcement on social media by the Jaguars.

“. @trevorlawrence's 10-yard touchdown run to tie the game, 14-14, was the 15th of his career. Lawrence passes Mark Brunell for the second-most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in franchise history,” JaguarsPR posted on X.

As the post indicated, Lawrence has just overtaken Super Bowl-winning QB and Jacksonville icon Mark Brunell for the No. 2 spot for most rushing TDs by a quarterback in Jaguars franchise history. Right now, Lawrence is just three TD runs away from passing Pro Bowl QB David Garrard (17) for the all-time record.

This game is going down to the wire in Jacksonville. The Jaguars scored three straight TDs to take a 21-14 lead, but the Chiefs have now tied it at 21-21 early in the fourth quarter, as of writing.
