Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (ankle) 'should be a go' at Colts

Arguably the most surprising result, to date, of the 2021 NFL season occurred Sunday when the Jacksonville Jaguars earned their second victory of the campaign via a 9-6 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Jacksonville rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered a sprained right ankle late in the first half of the game but played through the issue during the contest's final two quarters. Per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN, Lawrence told reporters Sunday he was not dealing with a "concerning" setback, and head coach Urban Meyer offered a positive update on his signal-caller on Monday.

"Trevor’s good. I just saw him and he should be a go this week," Meyer said about this coming Sunday's matchup at the 4-5 Indianapolis Colts, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "Knowing Trevor, he’ll be ready to go on Wednesday. I expect him to go. I expect we’ll be smart with him but I think he’ll be full speed sooner than we think."

Lawrence completed 15-of-26 passes but only threw for 118 yards with no touchdowns in the win over Buffalo, Jacksonville's second victory in three games. The Colts will be favorites to beat the Jaguars but could find themselves in a trap game if they're looking ahead and past a defense that gave Buffalo fits.
