Travis Hunter entered the NFL in 2025 as the No. 2 overall draft pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars after a celebrated career with the Colorado Buffaloes under Deion Sanders. In college, Hunter became the first primarily two-way player to win the Heisman Trophy since Charles Woodson, finishing with 96 receptions, 1,258 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns, and standout defensive numbers that included forced turnovers and lockdown coverage.
His efforts also earned him the Walter Camp Award, the Chuck Bednarik Award, and the Biletnikoff Award, cementing his status as a generational talent. The Jaguars drafted him with the belief he could become a franchise cornerstone, and early in his rookie season, Hunter has already shown the same flashes of brilliance that defined his college years.
Through three weeks with Jacksonville, Hunter has played heavy snaps on both sides of the ball. In Week 3 against the Houston Texans, he logged 80 total snaps – 43 on defense and 37 on offense – while producing a career-high six tackles and catching a 21-yard pass. His versatility has been crucial as the Jaguars manage injuries in their receiving corps, while also needing strong coverage against top opposing receivers. Hunter’s two-way play has already drawn comparisons to his historic college run, and his presence has given Jacksonville a new dynamic in all phases.
Off the field, Hunter has also begun making his mark as a brand figure. In July, he was announced as the inaugural athletic ambassador for TONE, the personal care line launched by AMP and streaming star Kai Cenat. The deal was unveiled during a live stream, with products now on shelves at Target nationwide.
On Tuesday, Hunter took to Instagram to tease the new release to his millions of followers via a video ad that showed him applying the scent on himself.
The scent features notes designed to evoke confidence and freshness, aimed at lifestyle consumers as much as sports fans. This move builds on his already growing endorsement portfolio. He became one of the most marketable athletes in college, endorsing brands like Adidas, United Airlines, NerdWallet, JLab, Celsius, EA Sports, among others. In his final season at Colorado, his NIL valuation was estimated at $5.7 million, per On3.
Back on the field, Hunter and the Jaguars will travel west to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4 at Levi’s Stadium, with kickoff set for Sunday afternoon on national broadcast. Jacksonville enters the matchup looking to improve their 2-1 record, while San Francisco will seek to keep its perfect record intact at home.
