Jaguars Taking Conservative Approach to Preseason to Avoid Injury

Preseason NFL football is one of the best appetizers for fans to get back into the swing of things before the 18-week gauntlet of the regular season. And if you think your acclimation period is rough, think about guys like Trevor Lawrence and the rest of the Jacksonville Jaguars as they head to New Orleans to have joint practices with the New Orleans Saints ahead of their preseason game this Saturday at 4 p.m. According to a recent report by Sports Illustrated’s John Shipley, the Jaguars are leaning toward taking a more conservative approach to preseason this season to avoid injury.

Lawrence Stays Unbothered by Potential Decision

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, in his usual laid-back, relaxed nature, states that his approach is the adage of “taking it one day at a time”, refusing to allow any outside noise to come in. Lawrence has played in each preseason of his young career, but this seems to be the first time there is a chance he will not see in-game action, and that could extend to the Jaguars’ entire first team.
