The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 on Sunday night to capture the franchise's second Super Bowl title.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts picked the perfect time to deliver one of his best performances of the season, completing 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards, along with two touchdowns and one interception. He also contributed 72 rushing yards on 11 carries.

The following day, his brother, Averion Hurts, took to social media to share a message.

"#SuperBowlDump Thank you Lord for blessing us FAR beyond what we deserve!" he wrote. " In a world full of different notions and opinions, I thank you for our discernment in knowing that YOUR perception and PROMISE is all that matters! Super Bowl LIX Champs! #EastSide #BREEDOF1."

Hurts’ path to becoming a Super Bowl champion is a testament to resilience and relentless work. After being benched for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in the College Football Playoff National Championship at Alabama, he spent the following season as a backup before seeking a fresh start.

Instead of giving up, Hurts transferred to Oklahoma, where he led the Sooners to a College Football Playoff appearance. His perseverance paid off when the Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Two seasons ago, he fell short in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. But rather than dwelling on the loss, Hurts remained determined, believing he’d get another shot at the Lombardi Trophy.

This time, he made it count, and despite only playing five seasons in the NFL, his football legacy will be remembered forever.
