Jalen Hurts Fires at Critics After Eagles’ Impressive Comeback Win Against Los Angeles Rams

The Philadelphia Eagles enjoyed an explosive offense to finish off last year’s playoff run, tallying 95 combined points in the NFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl.

They assumed the unit would pick right back up where they left off, but it had been a massive struggle to start the year.

They were 2-0, but running back Saquon Barkley was bottled up and quarterback Jalen Hurts had failed to throw for 200 yards in a game.

It was another offensive struggle to begin this Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, with the team netting just 35 yards in the first half.

Fans around the league have been overly critical of Hurts, diminishing his accomplishments and abilities because of his low passing totals, so they were ready to dunk on him again yesterday.

But in the second half, he turned it up without any help from Barkley, throwing for 209 yards and three touchdowns in just two quarters, including one to wide receiver Devonta Smith to win the game.

Hurts is naturally stoic and doesn’t let the critiques get to him often, but he had a message for the media and his doubters after the game, telling reporters, “Nobody cares how it gets done, it’s just a matter of getting it done. You guys care about how it gets done; I don’t.”

Hurts’ Mentality About the Passing Game

The reigning Super Bowl MVP has been consistent throughout his career in expressing his disinterest with his stats and he proved it once again in this media session.

Hurts remained the same cool, calm and collected guy that he is, even after barely throwing for 100 yards like he did last week against the Kansas City Chiefs.

A big deal has been made about Philadelphia’s passing game, even after proving they can win with it in last year’s Super Bowl.

Hurts and the Eagles both know they can get it done through the air, and when the situation calls for it like Sunday, that’s exactly what they do.

Hurts doesn’t care about stats or awards, he just cares about racking up wins.
