No other team has mastered one very specific play in the NFL quite like the Eagles.
The "Tush Push" is the Eagles' way of running a quarterback sneak where the offensive line comes together on short-yardage situations to literally push Hurts' tush for an almost guaranteed first down, or even, a guaranteed touchdown.
And during Super Bowl LIX opening night, Guillermo had to ask Hurts about the tush push. But, the quarterback set the record straight on the name of this popular play.
"I don't call it that. You guys call it again," he said. "You call it that. I call it the quarterback sneak. I keep it, keep it very standard."
You can't argue with that logic.
It's well known that if the Eagles are only a few yards out, it's likely that Hurts will get the ball and be pushed over the first-down line. Anybody can tell just based on the way they line up.
And many wondered if it would be as successful without Jason Kelce, who retired after the 2023-24 season. But, they proved that they can adjust and execute it to perfection.
The Brotherly Shove is a special play that will always be associated with the Eagles. And hopefully this will help them get the win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
