Jalen Ramsey Trade Saga Gets Major Update
Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images

There's a lot of cost-cutting going around in the NFL. A major player in these talks is the Miami Dolphins. The Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier-led squad is shopping star cornerback  Jalen Ramsey to other teams in hopes of getting a deal done before training camps start. No big news has come out of this yet, but it seems like a timeline has been put out that Los Angeles Rams fans should take note of.

The Dolphins are likely waiting until July to get a proper package for Jalen Ramsey, per Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network. The insider even stressed that Coach McDaniel and Chris Grier are not treating the  situation as imminent, which is why there's no rush to get something done.

Money plays a big part in the star cornerback's trade situation. The Dolphins will have to take a massive $25 million cap hit if they choose to trade Ramsey before June 1. If the organization does choose to wait after that date, the cap hit will only amount to $7 million.

Many are keeping their eyes on the Rams at this time. This is because the team from California has made their intentions of trading for Ramsey known. More than that, the cornerback already has ties with the Rams. So, a reunion would make sense because he's already acclimated to the system that both Coach McVay runs.

Much like all good things, everything takes time, and this situation might just be worth the time if it leads to another Super Bowl.
