Ja'Marr Chase Discusses Prospects For Record-Breaking Receiving Yards Season

Ja'Marr Chase was a rare triple-crown wide receiver last season, but he still has single-season statistical goals in his sights, including becoming the first player to ever have 2,000 receiving yards.

He told CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin that him or Vikings star Justin Jefferson have the best chance to pull it off this decade.

"The next three years, somebody has to do it," he said to Benjamin, "if it's not me."

Chase's 2024 mark currently ranks 14th on the all-time single-season receiving yards list (1,708 yards).

The star wideout would have to average 117.6 yards per game for a full campaign to hit 2,000 yards. It's a more realistic feat now that there's a 17th game and with the likelihood of 18 games in the future, it's just a matter of time before this happens.
