Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce showcased undeniable star power both on and off the football field. Their presence was so magnetic, it’s easy to imagine their lives playing out on the big screen.
Interestingly, the former Philadelphia Eagles star recently named his pick for the A-list actor he believed could do justice to portraying his brother in a movie.
In an exclusive interview with Extra during Amazon’s upfront presentation in New York City, Jason Kelce was asked about his family — including the Kansas City Chiefs star.
Although the Kelce brothers played the same sport in the same league, they had distinctly different personalities — and for the retired NFL player, that was exactly why he chose a talented and popular actor to portray the three-time Super Bowl champion.
The father of four shared his thoughts on which actors could portray them in a potential biopic. For him, it was the “Hangover” star Zach Galifianakis.
“I’ve gotten Zack Galifianakis a lot for me back in the day,” he said, adding, “A lot of people used to say that they reminded them of… I’ve remembered I’ve been compared from some of the pictures of the ‘Hangover’, so maybe Galifianakis for me.”
As for the veteran tight end, Jason Kelce admitted it would be a “tough” choice. He initially mentioned a basketball player but couldn’t recall his name.
Instead, he named the “Magic Mike” star, citing their resemblance as the deciding factor.
“I guess Channing Tatum,” he said, adding, “He could grow a beard. I think they kind of look similar. I guess.”
Based on their physical appearance and features, the actor and the NFL star have a similar build and chiseled jawline, making the casting choice feel like a natural fit.
Besides their similar looks, Tatum was also a fan of football. In fact, during ninth grade, he discovered a deep passion for the sport and set his sights on earning a college scholarship through athletics.
