Jaxson Dart convinces Ryan Fitzpatrick, Cam Skattebo to take shirts off after Giants TNF win vs. Eagles

Ryan Fitzpatrick had no intention of taking his shirt off this week during the Prime Video post-show. But when Jaxson Dart asks you to, after he and the New York Giants picked up a dominant win over the Philadelphia Eagles, what are you to do in that situation?

It’s pretty simple: off goes the shirt. This time, Fitzpatrick had a shirtless companion. When Dart asked Fitzpatrick to do it, he said that Cam Skattebo would do the same if he did. After a loud “take it off” chant, the two obliged and did a shirtless chest bump.

This is becoming a semi-regular occurrence for Fitzpatrick. Typically, it’s the crowd asking for it but this time, it was Dart. The 2025 first-round pick is full of juice, and that was on display in New York’s 34-17 victory over Philadelphia.

Jaxson Dart, Cam Skattebo leading Giants to success

The Giants put together their most complete performance of the season, Dart completing 17-of-25 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown. He was effective with his legs, picking up 58 yards on 13 carries, including a 20-yard score in the first quarter.

Dart had some help on offense. Skattebo, another rookie, had a big-time performance. He rushed for a career-high 98 yards and three scores, adding 12 yards in the passing game.

Both of these rookies have brought a new swagger to an organization which desperately needed some hope. Dart and Skattebo have done just that, and their energy is radiating throughout the team and fanbase.

“I’ve liked everything about Dart since we got him,” head coach Brian Daboll said after the game. “Again, he’s not perfect, he’s not gonna be perfect. Whatever it may be, but the toughness, he sees the field well, he’s got athleticism, vision, leadership. But he’s three games in. 2-1 as a starting quarterback, but a lot to work on. He’ll be the first to tell you that, but he’s a leader.”
