Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders is preparing for his third year in the NFL. After being selected No. 2 overall by the Commanders in 2024, Daniels had a record-setting rookie season in Washington. The 6-foot-4 quarterback set an NFL record for completion percentage by a rookie (69.0%) and rushing yards by a rookie quarterback (891).

After throwing for 25 touchdowns and 3,568 yards in 2024, making the Pro Bowl and leading the Commanders to the NFC Championship Game, Daniels was unable to recreate the same success in his second season. The Cajon High School graduate was marred by injuries in 2025, appearing in only seven games for Washington and throwing for 1,262 yards and eight touchdowns.

Now, with a full offseason to recover from an injury-plagued year, Daniels hopes to regain his footing in the league as one of the league’s premier quarterbacks. One way the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner can boost his profile is through the media spotlight. On Wednesday, Netflix announced just that, as the California native will be featured on Season 3 of Quarterback.

Quarterback is a Netflix docuseries that offers behind-the-scenes access to NFL quarterbacks. The show is produced by NFL Films in conjunction with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions. Season 3 of the show covers the 2025 NFL season. Past seasons highlighted stars such as the Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes and the Detroit Lions' Jared Goff.

Along with Daniels, Season 3 will focus on Joe Flacco, who was traded midseason from the Cleveland Browns to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Tampa Bay BuccaneersBaker Mayfield and Tennessee Titans rookie Cam Ward. Season 3 of Quarterback will premiere on Netflix on July 14.

Washington’s Week 1 opponent, date and time will be announced Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
