Jayden Reed’s girlfriend sends strong message after Packers WR’s injury

Jayden Reed and the Green Bay Packers are 2-0 through two games in the 2025 NFL regular season, and both wins came against teams that made the playoffs in the 2024 campaign.

The 2025 season is still early, and Week 2 has even barely begun, but the Packers have undeniably sent a strong message across the league about their status as a serious contender for the Super Bowl.

In its 27-18 win on Thursday night against the visiting Washington Commanders at Lambeau Field, Green Bay won nearly every facet of the contest. The Packers got what they wanted offensively. Defensively, Micah Parsons and company took the air out of Jayden Daniels and the Commanders’ attack.

But it was an entirely rosy evening for Green Bay. For one, wide receiver Jayden Reed was lifted off the game in the first quarter with a shoulder injury.

Reed, who led the team with 857 receiving yards to go along with a total of six touchdowns on 55 receptions and 75 targets in 2024, exited the contest in the first quarter after making a play in the end zone. He hurt his shoulder while scoring what was initially thought of a a touchdown before getting nullified.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said after the Washington game that Reed will “miss a lot of time” due to a broken collarbone. That’s a significant blow to Green Bay’s offense, though, Reed doesn’t seem to be fazed by the news.

“Let go, let God

be back soon,” the former Michigan State Spartans star wide receiver wrote in a post on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Reed’s girlfriend, Aneisha Cox, who also won the 2025 Miss Wisconsin crown, commented on his post to show her support for him.

“still got it in the end zone

” Cox wrote.

Reed’s catch wasn’t ruled a touchdown after it was determined that right tackle Anthony Belton committed a holding penalty.

Nevertheless, the Packers got the win.

As for Reed, Green Bay will look to surive his absence, as the team will now rely more on the likes of Dontayvion Wicks, Malik Heath, Romeo Doubs and Tucker Kraft, who had a career-night against Washington.
