Indianapolis Colts interim head coach Jeff Saturday told reporters on Wednesday that he talked with owner Jim Irsay during the team's Week 9 loss on Sunday. Saturday said, however, that they weren't discussing the upcoming job offer.

The Colts fired Frank Reich on Monday, one day after the team was blown out by the New England Patriots, 26-3. Indianapolis is 3-5-1 and has lost three in a row.
Soon after the Reich news came out, it was announced that Saturday -- a former All-Pro center with the franchise -- was being hired as the interim leader. Saturday has no head coaching experience above the high school level and Irsay's decision left social media flabbergasted.
Saturday's NFL head coaching debut in Week 10 will come at 4:05 p.m. ET Sunday on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders. Just 10 days ago -- when he was still an ESPN analyst -- the 47-year-old ironically called out the Raiders during their Week 8 shutout loss to the New Orleans Saints, tweeting that they looked "horrible."
