Jeremiyah Love Faces Accusations Over Costly $300,000 Rookie Mistake

Arizona Cardinals rookie Jeremiyah Love hasn’t even played an NFL game yet, but he’s already got fans talking.

Love came into the league with massive hype after the Cardinals picked him third overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. The former Notre Dame star dominated in college, racking up nearly 3,000 rushing yards, almost 600 receiving yards, and 42 touchdowns.

Shortly after signing his rookie deal, Love turned heads with comments about his money. He told reporters that he didn’t plan on touching his NFL paychecks anytime soon because he had already made so much cash from NIL deals in college.

“I live in the era of NIL, so I’m pretty well off already,” Love said. “I really don’t need to touch that money, as of right now. I most definitely will not.”

Now, a new report from the New York Post has him back in the news. Despite his talk about saving, Love gifted his girlfriend, Aliece, a luxury Lamborghini Urus SUV, a ride that costs anywhere between $234,000 and $338,000.

Fans Question Love’s Spending Decision

The reported purchase got attention on social media. Many fans pointed to Love’s earlier comments about saving his NFL contract money and questioned whether the gift matched that plan.

Another fan expressed concern about the young running back’s financial choices.

A third fan referenced Love’s earlier comments about his finances.

While fans continue to debate the situation, Love now turns his focus to football.

Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur confirmed this week that starters will play in Thursday night’s preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He said the group will only see limited action.

“They’re going to play,” LaFleur said. “How much? It’s not going to be much. One drive, max of two for those main guys.”

Thursday’s game will give fans their first look at Love in a Cardinals uniform. The rookie now has a chance to shift the conversation back to his performance on the field.
