New York Jets cornerback D.J. Reed told reporters on Thursday that he's had to jump through a few hoops in order to watch his team's appearance on this summer's "Hard Knocks."
Jets CB DJ Reed said “Hard Knocks was lit” but noted they didn’t have HBO in their hotel room so he had his girl FaceTime him with her phone facing TV.

This year's training camp edition of the reality series premiered on HBO and Max on Tuesday and featured a heavy focus on newcomer (and four-time MVP quarterback) Aaron Rodgers. The program will continue with four more episodes (airing at 10 p.m. ET every Tuesday), with the finale coming on Sept. 5.
The Jets will kick off their 2023 regular season against the Buffalo Bills at home in the Week 1 edition of "Monday Night Football" at 8:15 p.m. ET on Sept. 11.
It sounds like, despite the difficulties that Reed faced in actually watching the first episode, he was a fan of how things came out.
After a dramatic spring that was highlighted by the addition of Rodgers, more drama ensued in June when New York head coach Robert Saleh made it clear that he wanted his team to avoid being selected for the show. By mid-July, Saleh had come around and accepted the assignment, even wearing a t-shirt professing his apparent love for "Hard Knocks" during a presser.
Reed is one half of the Jets' talented starting cornerback tandem, playing opposite reigning AP Rookie of the Year Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner. Reed played every one of the team's 1,136 defensive snaps last season, while finishing with career highs in combined tackles (80) and passes defended (12) during his first year with Gang Green.
The 26-year-old's tackle total ranked fourth on the Jets in 2022 and his dozen passes defended placed him second only behind Gardner.
