The New York Jets have finally ended their interception drought after 637 days.
In the second quarter, Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick intercepted Chicago Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent, marking New York’s first INT since Jan. 5, 2025.

The Jets went the entire 2025 season without an interception, making them the first team in NFL history to do so. The previous low was the San Francisco 49ers in 2018, and they had two.
That means New York went 20 straight games without an interception, and it finally ended in Week 4.
In the first quarter, the Jets appeared to have an INT, and the defense celebrated in the end zone. However, it was called back due to a penalty.

The Jets entered Week 4 with a 1-2 record, and the win came against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.
There’s some extra irony to this INT as well. Jets’ current head coach Aaron Glenn faced off against Bears coach Ben Johnson, and the two worked together as assistants with the Detroit Lions.
At the end of the day, Glenn’s team must be happy to snap the streak, and they are hoping to end their drought as the team with the longest playoff drought in professional sports.
