Jim Harbaugh's Huge Contract With Chargers Revealed
USA TODAY Sports

New Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has come to terms with LA on a five-year deal, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, which would keep Harbaugh under contract with Los Angeles until 2029.

This means Harbaugh is leaving Michigan after leading them a national championship title and making his return to the NFL after almost a decade in college football.

"Multiple league sources" inform Pro Football Talk that Harbaugh is set to earn a hefty $16 million annually.

In accepting this five-year agreement with the Chargers, Harbaugh reportedly turned down a lucrative offer with Michigan that would have made Harbaugh the highest-paid coach in college football. As much as Michigan wanted to do everything in their power to keep Harbaugh, it clearly wasn't enough, as the reigning College Football Playoff national champ chose to come back to the NFL.
