J.J. McCarthy's Epic Week Continues On Thursday Afternoon

McCarthy had a magical performance against the Chicago Bears in his NFL debut, recording three touchdowns in a 27-24 comeback win over the Vikings' NFC North rival.

After missing the entirety of his rookie season due to a knee injury, it was an incredible performance from the former first-round pick and college football national champion.

McCarthy has been in a relationship with Katya Kuropas since they were in high school. Back in 2023 he marked their five-year anniversary with a special post for her on Instagram.

“1,825 days with the love of my life but a million moments that will be remembered and cherished for the rest of my life,” McCarthy wrote. “I couldn’t be more grateful for who you are and everything you do! You make me the best version of myself and it has been a complete blessing to continually watch you grow into the amazing woman you are.”

Katya has repeatedly taken to her own Instagram account to count down the weeks until their first child arrives:

"The best surprises come when you least expect them. Our sweet baby boy is arriving in September and we couldn’t be happier," she wrote in May.

The timing is pretty impeccable. His Vikings won't have to play again until Sunday when they take on the Atlanta Falcons.

Being a winning NFL quarterback sounds pretty cool, but being a father might top that for J.J. McCarthy.
