Joe Flacco will return to the Cincinnati Bengals for his 19th NFL season in 2026. After starting the 2025 season with the Cleveland Browns , Flacco was moved in a rare trade between division rivals in Week 6 to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round draft pick. The Audubon High School graduate was brought in to stabilize the Bengals’ quarterback room after former No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow was sidelined with turf toe.

The 6-foot-6 quarterback started nine games for the Bengals, throwing 13 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Flacco was efficient in Cincinnati, as the former Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens quarterback completed 158 of 256 passes for a 61.7% completion percentage.

With the in-season trade between division rivals puzzling even NFL coaches, Netflix revealed that further insight into the move can be gained July 14. On Wednesday, Netflix announced that the 41-year-old will appear in Season 3 of “Quarterback.” The television series gives a behind-the-scenes look at the 2025 season, in which fans and media will be able to view the trade from Flacco’s perspective.

NFL Films, Patrick Mahomes’ 2PM Productions and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions collaborated on the upcoming Season 3. Joining Flacco on the show will be Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders, Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Cam Ward of the Tennessee Titans. Past seasons of “Quarterback” featured the Kansas City Chiefs’ Mahomes, the Bengals’ Burrow, and the Detroit LionsJared Goff.
