John Harbaugh is stepping into his first season heading up the New York Giants with something to prove, following parting ways with the Baltimore Ravens after 18 seasons and the team's playoff-less 2025-26 run.
So, Harbaugh has set up shop in the Big Apple, and he just got handed the Giants' full 2026-27 schedule. While every game on the tally is an important one, especially when it comes to hopefully well surpassing the Giants' record last season of 4-13, there's one showdown that really stands out.
Let's just say that this game is one that both Harbaugh and a certain former Giants coach are circling on their calendars, and it's going to bring a familiar face back to town.
Yes, the Giants will host the Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday, Sept. 27, according to the team's official schedule release. The game marks the first time former Giants head coach Brian Daboll will go up against his old team.
Daboll, of course, is now the offensive coordinator for the Titans. He and the Giants cut ties in November 2025. So, this matchup is big because of Daboll being back, but it's not just about him. The Titans have added a slew of former New York players in free agency, including Daniel Bellinger, Cor'Dale Flott, Wan'Dale Robinson and Austin Schlottmann. So, these are all players who basically went with Daboll to New York, and that adds another layer of drama.
On top of that, the Giants hired former Titans head coach Brian Callahan during the offseason to serve as their quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator.
If you add it all together, it really doesn't get more high-stakes than this Week 3 matchup. Daboll, Harbaugh and the Titans and Giants' fanbases should be extra pumped to see this one go down.
