Jordan Love will return Sunday against the Vikings and the Packers quarterback will wear a brace on his left knee, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

:Packers QB Jordan Love is expected to wear a brace on his left knee today against the Vikings — his first start since suffering an MCL sprain in the Sept. 8 opener,” Pelissero wrote on Twitter. “Sources say Love took the majority of practice reps and looked better and better as the week went on. Go time.”

With his return confirmed, it should come as no surprise, as Love has practiced every day this week, although it was as a limited participant due to his MCL strain. He suffered the injury in the Packers’ Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Before leaving the game, Love completed 17-of-34 pass attempts for 260 yards and two touchdowns while throwing one interception.

Since Love’s injury, the Packers are 2-0. Malik Willis has started both games in Love’s place. In his two starts, Willis has tallied 324 passing yards and two scores while throwing zero interceptions. If Love is not able to play on Sunday against the Vikings, the Packers would feel comfortable with Willis behind center, but that won’t be the case.

Since suffering his injury, Love had working as hard as he can to return to the field. Earlier this week, the fifth-year QB pulled back the curtain on his status.

“We’re building it up for sure,” Love said of his workload. “I’m trying to push it and I’ve been trying to get back as fast as I can no matter who the opponent was.”

Alas, after missing the last two games, Jordan Love will likely be under center once again for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon. Their game against the undefeated Minnesota Vikings will air at 1 p.m. on CBS.
