Amid an offseason of uncertainty following the dismissal of head coach Sean McDermott, the Buffalo Bills may have a new issue to get anxious about: Quarterback Josh Allen's health.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Bills general manager Brandon Beane announced that Allen may need to have "something done" on his right foot this offseason. Allen suffered an injury to the foot late in the season, limiting him in practice at times but not enough to keep him off the field.
Beane said that any procedure Allen may get would not affect his ability to join the team for mandatory OTAs in the spring.
"Allen was also listed with knee and finger injuries heading into the loss to the Broncos. Allen was 25-of-39 for 283 yards while running 12 times for 66 yards in the game. He also threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles," ProFootballTalk's Josh Alper noted on Wednesday.

Allen made the Pro Bowl for a fourth time this season but didn't exactly play at the same MVP level he reached last year. He went 12-5 as a starter, but could not lead them to a division title.
In the playoffs, the Bills narrowly beat the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road before losing to the Denver Broncos in overtime. The Bills still have yet to reach a Super Bowl with Allen set to turn 30 in May.
Following the loss, the Bills fired head coach Sean McDermott.
For the first time since the start of the 2020s, the Bills' future is in question.
On one hand, they certainly might be able to find a head coach who can be just one or two games better in the regular season and playoffs.
On the other hand, it's possible that the Bills may have accidentally thrown the baby out with the bathwater. Resetting the coaching staff right as the team is trying to ascend as a team could just as easily backfire on them.
What will the Bills look like in 2026?
