Over his 17-year career, there isn’t a ton quarterback Mattthew Stafford hasn’t done. Heading into this season he’d authored nine 4,000-yard seasons (eclipsing the elite 5,000-yard milestone in 2011) and thrown more than 40 touchdowns twice. In 2011 he also won AP Comeback Player of the Year, and lifted the Lombardi Trophy at Super Bowl LVI.
But before this season, he’d never been named to an All-Pro team or been named MVP. One of those has already changed – with Stafford beating out New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye to be named first-team All-Pro. With an NFL-best 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns this season at 37 years old, he’s likely to win his first MVP award as well.
With perhaps his best regular season behind him, Stafford is one win away from returning to the Super Bowl. To get there, he’ll have to get past the top-seeded Seahawks in Seattle, where they blew a 16-point lead to lose 38-37 in overtime in Week 16.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the players to be named first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press for the 2025 season can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
