Josh Jacobs' injury update has Packers fans on edge

The Green Bay Packers escaped the Big Apple with a much-needed win. However, it came at a steep cost.

QB Jordan Love got banged up and even had to leave for a drive after being hit on the shoulder, and Josh Jacobs also had to miss most of the game.

The star running back suffered a knee injury in the first half, and he was quickly ruled out. Now, while the injury isn't believed to be season-ending, he's not in the clear.

Josh Jacobs to undergo further testing

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Rob Demovsky, Jacobs will have to undergo more testing.

Jacobs seemed on track to have one of the most productive games of the season. He had 40 rushing yards on seven carries, averaging 5.7 yards per touch against a Giants defense that couldn't get going against the run.

For the season, Jacobs is up to 648 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, but he's averaging just 3.8 yards per attempt, the second lowest of his career. The Packers have a serious run-blocking problem, and he's constantly getting hit at or behind the line of scrimmage.

Still, he's one of the best running backs in the game, and having him miss time would only spell more trouble for Matt LaFleur's team. The Packers will head back home for a divisional matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, and they will certainly hope to have their workhorse back to face Brian Flores' defense.
