Although the Kansas Jayhawks suffered an upset loss on Saturday afternoon, FOX4's Taylor Burr managed to win over the college basketball community.

Burr, a former weekend anchor and sports reporter at TV20 in Florida, has become quite popular since taking her talents to FOX4 Sports. NFL fans enjoyed her coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs throughout the 2025 season.

With the NFL season several months away, Burr is currently providing in-depth coverage on the men's basketball team for Kansas.

Prior to this Saturday's game between Cincinnati and No. 8 Kansas, the popular reporter for FOX4 Sports shared a photo of her on the court at Allen Fieldhouse.

"Madness starts in February," she wrote for her caption.

This photo from Burr already has over 37,000 views and 1,000 likes.

More about Taylor Burr.

It's not a huge surprise that Burr has been successful in Kansas City. The University of Florida graduate has been passionate about sports dating back to her childhood.

"Soccer was her first love, playing competitively through her teenage years. But once college rolled around, she traded cleats for a microphone—channeling that same competitive fire into telling the stories behind the scoreboard. One of her most defining moments came as a sideline reporter for the NB3 Junior Golf Championships on the Golf Channel, working alongside legends like Notah Begay and Tiger Woods," her bio for FOX4 states. "Taylor loves the energy of live sports and the way a game-winning moment can bring people together. She thrives on capturing the emotion, the grit, and the untold stories that define athletes and the fans who cheer them on."

Burr should be back on the sideline for this Monday's top-10 showdown between Houston and Kansas.
