Kenneth Walker turns heads with a Bo Jackson accomplishment

Kenneth Walker did alright in his debut for the Kansas City Chiefs. The new Chiefs running back made a tremendous impact right out of the gate in the Chiefs’ 2026 season, leading the team’s offense in a 31-10 demolition of the Denver Broncos on Monday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

Walker was so good with the rock that he became the first player ever to check several statistical boxes last ticked by Bo Jackson nearly four decades ago.

Walker joined Jackson as the only players in NFL history to have at least 150 rushing yards, a 60-yard (or more) rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, while having more net yards and points than the opposing team in a game, according to OptaSTATS. 

Jackson accomplished that incredible feat way back in 1987 for the Los Angeles Raiders.

The Chiefs kept feeding Walker the ball, and they got an incredible return. 

Walker finished the contest with 173 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, while adding a touchdown reception and 18 receiving yards on three catches and six targets. Denver had no answer for Walker, who forced 14 missed tackles and had 101 rushing yards over expected.

For now, Walker looks like a big headache for Kansas City opponents. He is a clear threat that the Indianapolis Colts will try to slow down in their Week 2 matchup against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
