King of Props: Better to receive

Because the typical NFL schedule prominently features the defending champions, the Rams will be playing their third consecutive stand-alone game when they host the Broncos on Christmas afternoon. Both teams surprisingly stand at 4-10, but Denver will be boosted by the return of Russell Wilson, who missed last week after sustaining a concussion. Although he hasn’t eclipsed 300 passing yards since the season opener, we like him to do enough to deliver our top prop:

The bet: Over 32½ receiving yards for Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (DraftKings)

A third-round pick out of UCLA, Dulcich is going back to play in Southern California for the second time this season. He actually made his pro debut at today’s venue, SoFi Stadium, catching a 39-yard touchdown pass in a Week 6 loss to the Chargers.

It’s been an up-and-down rookie year for Dulcich, who has finished with exactly 11 yards in three games but has twice produced more than 80. Last week’s lack of production was attributable to a conservative offense directed by Brett Rypien, who took seven sacks. Still, the opportunities are there, as Dulcich ran a pass route on 28 of the quarterback’s 33 dropbacks.

Since Week 8, the Rams have allowed the seventh-most yards per reception to tight ends. With Wilson reacclimating to a passing attack that has lost several weapons over the course of the season, Dulcich should be a frequent target.
