King of Props: Boiling Kittle

After sending teams to Europe for four games that aired on Sunday mornings in the United States, the NFL concludes its International Series with a "Monday Night Football" game south of the border. Two NFC West foes, the 49ers and Cardinals, will be renewing their rivalry at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The high elevation there could leave defenders winded, which stands to benefit the player we’re backing for our top prop:

The bet: Over 41½ receiving yards for 49ers tight end George Kittle (DraftKings)

A three-time Pro Bowler, Kittle has exceeded this number in six straight games against Arizona, including going for 101 yards in the last meeting. He has engaged in some memorable battles with safety Budda Baker, who is playing at less than 100% due to an ankle injury.

The Cardinals rank in the bottom 10 of the league for passing yards allowed, and they’ve been especially generous to tight ends. In their last two games, the Seahawks’ Noah Fant and the Rams’ Tyler Higbee have posted respective totals of 96 and 73 yards.

Neither player is on the level of Kittle, who was puzzlingly thrown just two passes in last week’s victory over the Chargers. When asked about it in the postgame presser, he tried to suppress frustration: “I’d love more than two targets, but it is what it is. We’re winning the game. But yeah, I love the ball in my hands and I like providing a spark for the offense.”

With coach Kyle Shanahan looking to scheme up plays for his sometimes-neglected tight end, Jimmy Garoppolo should hit Kittle for some substantial gains tonight.
