Kirk Cousins Is A Big Focus On Netflix's 'Quarterback' Season 2

Although Cousins is not going to be the starter in 2025, he will still be one of three quarterbacks featured in the new season of 'Quarterback' on Netflix. This will be the second time that he has appeared on the show, as he appeared alongside Marcus Mariota and Patrick Mahomes.

Cousins started 6-3 in 2024, before an awful five-game stretch saw him lose his starting job to Michael Penix Jr. Cousins is in his second year with the Falcons and is on his $180 million contract.

The Falcons are fully committed to Penix for the 2025 season, but Cousins has a lot to look forward to in his own right. Between his contract and his appearance on this show, he can still have a happy 2025 season, knowing there is still a lot of eyes on him.

Cousins is not fully out of a starting gig for the rest of his career though, as bad play or an injury, or a future trade could all lead to him becoming a starter once again. His career is far from over and he could still show what he has in the tank.

This show will help Cousins keep the spotlight on him in a way that he does not currently have on the Falcons, being the backup. He will have his time to shine when all lights are on him on Netflix on July 8.

The Falcons are still looking around to see what else could be done for Cousins, but as of right now he is sticking around.
