Kirk Cousins is all but certain to be with the Falcons in 2025

The Falcons’ hopes of trading Kirk Cousins have essentially been put to bed, with Aaron Rodgers expected to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the coming days.

Tom Pelissero is reporting Rodgers has informed the Steelers that he’ll fly to Pittsburgh on Friday and sign with the team before next week’s minicamp.

There’s now really only one other scenario where Kirk Cousins might still be traded: A quarterback of a contender will have to go down in training camp.

Suffice to say, it’s a long shot at this point that the Falcons will be able to manufacture a Kirk Cousins trade. Fans should wrap their heads around the idea of Cousins being on the sidelines of Mercedes-Benz Stadium when the Buccaneers come to Atlanta for the season opener.
