ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit is one of the busiest people in football over the course of the week. Every Thursday he is traveling around the country calling games for the NFL on Amazon Prime, before he makes the trip wherever ESPN's "College GameDay" is that week. After appearing on the beloved pregame show, Herbstreit then hops on a plane to call a college football game that night.
On Saturday, Herbstreit started the morning in Nashville with the rest of the crew as they previewed the Week 9 clash between the No. 15 Missouri Tigers and No. 10 Vanderbilt Commodores. After his duties were done there, he hopped on a jet to Baton Rouge in order to call the battle between the No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies and No. 20 LSU Tigers.
While the Aggies trailed 18-14 going into the third quarter, they went on to score 35 second half points, outscoring the Tigers by 28 and winning 49-25. As Herbstreit and Chris Fowler discussed the road ahead for the Aggies as the game was clearly out of hand, Herbstreit had a bit of a blunder when looking at one team's logo.
When looking at a graphic, Herbstreit stumbled over the logo of the Aggies' Week 13 opponent, the Samford Bulldogs.
Herbstreit and Fowler laughed it off in real time, but the former Ohio State quarterback did take to X with a bit of an apology, while also giving fans a chance to poke fun at himself as well.
"Was struggling with this logo on graphic last night… My bad @SamfordFootball #abc #espn," wrote Herbstreit.

"Look at this," Herbstreit said. "They (Texas A&M) go to Missouri...Their quarterback's down with an injury. That's a different game on the road. South Carolina having a tough year, that's at home. Not sure who that one (Samford) is...Okay, whatever."
Herbstreit later admitted on air that he had "nothing" for Samford, who are a dreadful 1-7 on the season.
Although it may sting for the diehard Samford fans, it did make for a funny moment during a game that was 42-18 at the time of the mistake. The Aggies are on a bye this week, before taking on Missouri. As for LSU, they will also be on a bye as they prepare to take on No. 4 Alabama.
