Kyler Murray reportedly 'on the same page' with Cardinals now

The brief, but dramatic saga of Kyler Murray's displeasure with the Arizona Cardinals is now just a blip in the rear-view mirror, according to NFL Network's Jane Slater.

"This thing has buffed itself out," Slater reported Thursday. "In other words, everyone is on the same page, and the goal here is to move forward... It's my understanding that everything is copacetic in Arizona."

Murray, 24, threw 24 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions in the regular season, and he was one of eight NFL starters to end the year with a passer rating above 100. However, he struggled in the latter half of the season and self-destructed in the playoffs where he threw two interceptions in a 34-11 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

A few weeks after the loss, Murray scrubbed his social media of all things Cardinals, and ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that the quarterback felt that he was "framed as a scapegoat" for the team's postseason collapse. Just as the story started to get legs, Murray released a statement that said, "All of this nonsense is not what I'm about."

Murray was the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and has one year left on his contract with the Cardinals, but the team will decide this offseason if it wants to pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie deal.
