Lamar Jackson is already raving about a Ravens rookie

It's a big year for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. He absolutely needs to stay healthy, and he needs his offense as strong as ever.

After parting ways with John Harbaugh, both the Ravens and Jackson have something to prove. They want to show the world that they can come back better than before during this new phase in the franchise.

When it comes to Jackson's on-field partners, the wide receiver position is among the most important. So, who will he toss to this year?

During Friday's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Ravens rookie WR Ja'Kobi Lane caught all three of his targets. That's a beautiful thing for a rookie's debut. He notched 38 yards and a score.

Lane's performance caught the attention of Jackson during a sideline interview.

"Man, his aggressiveness to go get the ball," Jackson told the media. "He's attacking the ball. Big hands, tough receiver. That's what we need. We need that. It's amazing. The sky is the limit for him."

Lane has been impressing for a while. The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec reported that the rookie has been a huge standout in training camp in Baltimore.

"His daily acrobatic catches and chunk plays have been the talk of training camp and, at least for now, silenced the talk that the Ravens need to go out and add a veteran receiver to join Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman," he noted.

So, the Ravens found a gem in the draft with Lane. Now, it's up to them to use him wisely.
