Las Vegas Raiders Davante Adams Stresses Urgency In Postgame Interview
Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers despite a huge game from Davante Adams. Adams had over 200 yards receiving and a couple of scores but the Raiders still couldn’t overcome a big fourth-quarter deficit. After the game, Adams stressed the urgency for the team to perform.

Las Vegas Raiders Davante Adams Postgame

Adams was careful not to throw anyone under the bus. He was complimentary of the team and stated that he believes that they have the talent to win games. It comes down to executing in the right moments. However, he ended the interview stressing that he does not have time to waste. Adams came over from Green Bay when he was pushing 30 years old. Most receivers start to see a drop-off on the other side of 30. While Adams is showing no signs of slowing down, he doesn’t have time to be a part of a rebuilding team if he wants to capture a Super Bowl. He needs to win now.

Could The Team Trade Adams?

Is this what Adams is trying to get at? The trade deadline is coming up and there are plenty of teams that could use the services of the star wide receiver. If the Raiders do get in a position where they feel like they cannot win a lot of games, they could look to obtain extra draft capital to accelerate a rebuild. Adams would probably fetch a good price considering his production. Could a team like the Chiefs take a swing to try and win back-to-back Super Bowls? Could the Cowboys go all in?

The Las Vegas Raiders were hoping that the addition of Davante Adams would make them a Super Bowl contender. While his production hasn’t slipped, the rest of the team simply cannot seem to perform in big moments.
