Pete Carroll and the Las Vegas Raiders are looking to get things back on track during the 2025 NFL season. After another season of disappointing in 2024, the team made big changes, including hiring Carroll.
To start off the 2025 campaign, the Raiders were able to pull out a Week 1 win over the New England Patriots. Not only did they win the game, they were able to win the game on the road. It was a great start to the new era of football for the franchise.
While they’re off to a good start, there are some potential needs that could come up. One of those needs could come at the wide receiver position.
Keeping that in mind, Las Vegas has been linked as a possible trade suitor for a $96 million star wideout.
Tim Crean of PFSN has suggested the Raiders as a top suitor for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. A lot of rumors have been swirling about Brown, although the idea of the Eagles actually trading him is still strange to think about.
Last week for Philadelphia, Brown mustered up just one catch for eight yards. That was the only target he received from Jalen Hurts all game. His lack of targets has been a source of frustration for Brown in the past.
Should Brown be placed on the trade block, plenty of teams around the league would come calling. It would not be surprising to see Las Vegas end up being one of them.
Right now, the Raiders have Jakobi Meyers as their No. 1 wide receiver. Behind him, they have Tre Tucker and Dont’e Thornton Jr.
There is some talent in the wide receiver room for Las Vegas, but the team could use more. Adding Brown would be a huge get and would immediately make the Raiders a more serious playoff contender.
Don’t expect to see Las Vegas pull off a blockbuster deal for Brown. However, this suggestion is one that would make perfect sense if the opportunity came up for the Raiders.
