There are few other takeaways from this depth chart for New Orleans. Some are more obvious than others.

No QB decision yet

Both Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler have had bright moments in the preseason and training camp. With this depth chart update, it backs up what Kellen Moore motioned after the tie against the Jaguars. He has not chosen his star ter yet, and it is fair to assume that decision won't be made until after the final preseason game this weekend for the Saints.

Linebacker jog jam

Nephi Sewell remains ahead of Jaylan Ford and Isaiah Stalbird on the unofficial depth chart. That being said, both of the latter two mentioned have had more of an impact in the preseason so far. Ford is a young option who dealt with injury last season. He had an interception against the Jaguars and moves well for his size. I would be surprised if he doesn't end up making the active roster.

Jonas Sanker's spot is misleading

The rookie safety played very well against Jacksonville and seems like a roster lock. Albeit, Terrell Burgess is still ahead of Sanker on this latest depth breakdown. It feels much more likely that Sanker makes the roster over Burgess at this point.

All in all, this depth chart will still undergo changes ahead of Week 1, and plenty of names will be removed as the roster gets cut down.
