In what has become a California getaway for the company in previous years, LFA returns to Santa Cruz for LFA 208: Mecate vs. Reyes. With 13 bouts slated, all eyes will be on the Kaiser Permanente arena as fighters across the card look to punch their stamp to the next level.

In the main event, LFA veterans and former featherweights Chris Mecate and Javier Reyes will both look to make their debuts in the lightweight division in a matchup that could be the golden ticket to a UFC opportunity.

Coming into the evening with a 4-0 2024 year of action, including a second-round knockout at LFA 198, Mecate looks to continue his reign of dominance heading into 2025 by taking on one of the top featherweights in the regional scene. After a gruesome cut to featherweight in his last bout, Mecate looks to make a new splash at 155.

With a first-round victory to start 2025, Javier Reyes looks to become 2-0 in his eleventh year fighting professionally. Holding a 1-1 record in LFA with that loss coming from Mecate’s teammate Lerryan Douglass, Reyes looks to redeem himself in front of the California state crowd with a victory in his new weight class.

LFA 208 will also see the return of fan favorites Luis Francischinelli and Allan Begosso, with Francischinelli last seeing action in August of 2024 and Begosso in August of 2023, with both gentlemen winning their respective bouts.

With fighters like NFL Fullback turned 4-0 heavyweight rising star Josh Hokit, tonight serves as a test before a shot on Dana Whites Contender Series on August 12th, according to TNT management.

If you dont want to miss the action live, LFA 208 begins at 4:30 P.M. PT for preliminary action on Swerve Combat and 7 P.M. for the main card on UFC Fight Pass.
