The Detroit Lions faced the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5 of the NFL season.
They came in at 3-1 with only an opening-week loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Many questioned how quarterback Jared Goff would fare without former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who is the Chicago Bears' head coach. Goff has proven he’s still the same player.
The four-time Pro Bowler threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns, while completing 19 of 23 passes as the Lions defeated the Bengals 37-24.
After the game, the Lions announced that Goff had been named the Player of the Game.
"our guy," the Lions posted on social media.

Goff's stats from Sunday bring his season totals to 1,187 yards, 12 touchdowns, two interceptions and a 75.2% completion percentage.
The 30-year-old is in his fifth season with Detroit after being traded from the Los Angeles Rams in March 2021.
Goff was traded in a deal that saw Matthew Stafford go from Detroit to L.A.
Goff and the Lions have a tough task in Week 6 as they travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs. Anytime you take on Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, the team's A game is needed.
That game will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday on NBC.
