The football gods won't let you be happy for five minutes, will they? Just over an hour after news broke that offensive line coach Hank Fraley would be staying in Detroit, the Lions lost one of their big position coaches.
Receivers coach Antwaan Randle El will be leaving the Lions and joining Ben Johnson in Chicago to be the Bears assistant head coach.

Randle El joined the Lions in 2021 and has been a big part of the growth of Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams in that time. He was considered to be an option to fill the Lions offensive coordinator spot, but there were always guys above him.
This move gives Randle El the chance to take a promotion and be one step closer to being a head coach. Something we believe he will be in the next five years or so.
