Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs reached out to Triple H about getting in a WWE ring after WrestleMania, why that could happen soon
USA TODAY Sports

WrestleMania 41 is now in the books, and maybe you loved it, or maybe you hated it. One guy who really loved it and had a great time was Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs. He and his girlfriend were in attendance for both nights of the spectacle in Las Vegas. The WWE even introduced him on night two.

Gibbs had such a good time at the event that he took to Instagram after the main event in which John Cena won his record 17th world championship, and tagged WWE's Chief Content Officer, Triple H, saying that he would like to get in the ring and spear somebody.

Gibbs would not be the first athlete to get involved with the WWE. Both 49ers tight end George Kittle and former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski have gotten involved in matches in the past. Last year, Eagles offensive linemen Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson got in the ring in luchador masks to help Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania in Philly.

Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton has been on shows a bunch of times, and Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has shown up a time or two as well.

There's a chance that this could actually go down pretty soon. Monday Night Raw will be taking place at the Little Caesars Arena on July 28th. The Lions should be either at or just returning to training camp around that time, so Gibbs will be in town and he'll probably be there. Maybe he gets his chance to spear someone at that event.
