The NFL's postseason didn't pan out particularly well for the Detroit Lions, but it looks like award season will be treating them a bit more kindly.

They've already had seven players earn spots in the Pro Bowl and six player earn All-Pro nods.

Now the finalists have been announced for this year's NFL awards and the Lions are prominently featured on those lists.

Dan Campbell is a finalist for Coach of the Year while Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn are both in the running for Assistant Coach of the Year.

The Lions didn't get a ton of love on the player side of things, but do have one finalist in the MVP race.

The NFL revealed that quarterback Jared Goff is one of the five finalists for MVP.

His season ended in extremely disappointing fashion, throwing three interceptions and losing a fumble against the Commanders, but Goff was outstanding during the regular season.

He set a career high with an incredible 72.4% completion percentage, which was second in the league to only Tua Tagovailoa.

Goff was also second in passing yards with 4629. His 37 passing touchdowns were good for fourth in the NFL.

He won't come close to winning this award because Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen were in a league of their own at QB this season, but Goff does deserve some recognition for his play as he led the best offense in the NFL to the top seed in the NFC.
