The Detroit Lions will be getting some defensive line depth Back in time for the late season stretch. Per NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Lions will be activated Martin this week.

The Lions traded up to select Martin in the third-round of Last year’s draft. He’s been seen as a project player, but this summer he turned in some really good work at camp and in the preseason.

Martin has been dealing with an injury this season and spent time on injured reserve. The Lions started his clock on October 30th and now he’ll be back.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke a bit about Martin on Monday and gabe an idea of what his immediate future could look like.

“Yeah, he’s been doing a good job. He’s done a solid job out there on practice squad, giving us a good look, and trying to work his craft, so I think we would like to get him on the roster here and at least have him, and then just see where it goes.”
