The Detroit Lions collected their third win of the season on Sunday, defeating the Cleveland Browns 34-10, advancing to 3-1.
A big piece to their success was the defensive line's ability to put Browns quarterback Joe Flacco under constant pressure, sacking him three times, leading to 14 yards lost. Of course, four-year veteran Aidan Hutchinson is one of the most instrumental players in that group.
Against Cleveland, he was dominant, recording four tackles, two sacks, four quarterback hits and two tackles for loss. It was a very strong performance for the one-time Pro Bowler as the Lions look to win their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
After taking him with the second pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Hutchinson has established himself as one of Detroit's best players.
Against the Browns, he made history. The Lions announced he'd recorded his 32nd career sack, which is the most for any player in their first four seasons in team history.

What's most impressive about that is Hutchinson played in just five games in 2024 after suffering a broken tibia against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6. He still recorded 7.5 sacks that season, but missed out on adding even more to his resume.
He may have made Lions history, but that won't extend further than their franchise. According to Pro Football & Sports Network, Reggie White (70), Al Baker (65.5) and Derrick Thomas (58) have the top three most sacks in a player's first four seasons in NFL history.
His performance on the field, though, is setting Hutchinson up for a potentially huge payday. He'll be making $19.78 million in 2026 on a fifth-year option, but is set to hit free agency in 2027.
If he continues etching his name into the Lions' record books, the team will have no option but to shell out a large contract or watch the young star go elsewhere.
