Ewan Arechaederra, a long-snapper at Monte Vista High School in Danville, Calif., announced recently that he has committed to Cal at a preferred walk-on in the class of 2024.
Committed! Thank you to all the coaches who have helped me get to this point. Go Bears! @CalFootball @4thandLongwell @MVHS_Football @millard_johnny @BenjiPalu_Cal @Coach_Sooto pic.twitter.com/6CnttZh8LH

Cal joins the Atlantic Coast Conference next fall.
Cal already has three long snappers on its 2024 roster, but I suppose you can never have too many long snappers.
Arechaederra's rating as a long snapper is available at this site: Rubio long-snapping.
He provided this video of his favorite snaps:
Senior season has come to an end. Proud to say I went the entire season with no botched snaps on PAT or punt! Here are my favorite snaps from my senior season. @TheChrisRubio @CruzARubio @millard_johnny @Coach_Sooto @CoachWhiteEra @MVHS_Football @westcoastpreps_ @BenjiPalu_Cal pic.twitter.com/FbKBCgymaw

After a nice conversation with @BenjiPalu_Cal , I’m excited to share that I’ve received a PWO offer to the University of California, Berkeley! Go Bears! @millard_johnny @BrandonHuffman @MVHS_Football @TheChrisRubio @CruzARubio @PowerUpFootball @westcoastpreps_ pic.twitter.com/umT7mASGLU

Cal has a history of long snappers who have fared well in the NFL. David Binn spent 17 seasons in the NFL as a long-snapper, Nick Sundberg was in the NFL for 11 seasons, and L.P. Ladouceur was an NFL long-snapper for 16 seasons. Slater Zellers, who spent several seasons at Cal before transferring to Arizona State for the 2023 season, is one of the top NFL long-snapper prospects this year.
