Brett Favre is one of the finest quarterbacks in the NFL's history, but he has been in the news the past few years for all of the wrong reasons.
Now, he is back in the news for a reason much more tolerable than alleged fraud.
The former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets QB has lived at his Mississippi estate called The Black Farm since the late 90s with his wife and two daughters. But now, the Hall of Famer has listed the home for $14 million.
"Black Creek Farm has been the heart of our family for over 20 years," Favre said in a recent statement. "It's where we've raised our family and gathered with friends, spent summer afternoons by the pool and cookouts by the grill and enjoyed quiet walks through the gated 460+ acres."
The property is around 465 acres as a whole, including the custom main house, pool, pool house and sports courts. There are also two small lakes and areas for cattle operation and pastures.
Favre played just one season with the Jets where he led the team to a 9-7 record with 3,472 yards, 22 touchdowns, and a Pro Bowl selection. It only took six years after he retired until he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016 as a result of his three MVP awards and his Super Bowl ring accumulated during his time in Green Bsy.
The Hall of Fame quarterback has been in the news recently due to him being named as a defendant in a civil lawsuit filed by the Mississippi Department of Human Services over the misuse of funds meant for needy families.
