Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Tre Harris may have created a domino effect that NFL teams are going to despise

The move comes after the Houston Texans made NFL history by giving second-round wide receiver Jayden Higgins a fully guaranteed contract, the first for any player taken in round two. 

Subsequently, all of the other second-rounders see that deal and want their own. So the rest of the NFL is probably very upset with the Texans. However, Tre Harris is unique because he has taken things one step further by being the first to not even show up to camp. 

With rookies and all teams reporting to camp over the next 10 days, it will be interesting to see if Harris is a trend setter in this debacle, and if it forces the hands of the teams involved. 

It cannot be overstated just how important training camp is for rookies. It takes a lot of preparation to play an NFL season for anyone, much less someone who has never played in the NFL. 

By taking a stand, the players aren't only hurting themselves. These teams used premium capital on these players and want them to be instant contributors, if not starters, in many cases. 

If the rest of the second-rounders follow in Harris' footsteps, we'll see who blinks first in what could be a monumental moment in NFL history.
